The State Meteorological Agency has indicated in its warning system that the rainfall recorded this morning on the northern coast of Alicante is due to a "local, slow-moving storm." The yellow warning for the Marina Alta will only last until 12 noon on Wednesday, but it has left significant amounts of rain in some locations.
According to the Valencian Meteorological Association (AVAMET), up to 42 liters per square meter have accumulated in Pedreguer, while 34 liters per square meter have been recorded in Pego, located in the Corral de la Rata. The organization also highlights the 22 liters per square meter in Benimaurell, in the Vall de Laguar.
