Through the Sowing in the Desert project, the Ibisko cultural association, together with the musician Óscar Jareño, organizes a new forest plantation with the aim of expanding the network of micro-forests in the Marina Alta.
The initiative pursues the reconversion of small degraded lands into native Mediterranean forests. To date, the project has managed to plant two forests in the region through two different days.
The first took place in 2020 with the planting of 200 trees in the town of Alcalalí. The second day of volunteering was in 2021 at La Sella de Pedreguer, thanks to the collaboration of the Treebuu Association and the Fundem Foundation.

Sowing in the Desert is a musical and environmental project by musician Oscar Jareño in collaboration with the Ibisko cultural association and with the support of the Salom Sabar Foundation through its Impulsa Cultura aid programme.
On the one hand, the project includes the recording of an album under the same name in which an international group of artists and professionals of traditional music and urban music participates, whose release is scheduled for the beginning of next year.
