The Department of Tourism of Poble Nou de Benitatxell has scheduled for this summer the dramatized routes 'A museum in the wind' on July 14 and 28 and August 4, 11 and 18.
An opportunity to publicize all the corners and historic buildings that have witnessed the history of the municipality. Many of them unknown by a large part of the population, who tell the experiences of their people and the events that have marked the past and present of the town.
An XNUMXth-century character who awaits the arrival of the settlement letter from the Duke of Medinaceli will guide visitors through the main attractions of the urban center. For example, the church, the Portalet and the viewpoint, the Raconet, the old butcher shop and house-inn, the Cervera Cinema or the streets that honor the important emigration of the pobleros and pobleras to Argentina and Algeria at the end of the XNUMXth century and the beginning of the XNUMXth century.
“Through this proposal we intend to make known the history and origins of our town in an original and fun way. We want to capture the attention of visitors and tourists beyond the offer of sun and beach and thus promote our old town, which is a great unknown to many people”, highlighted the Councilor for Tourism and Heritage, Víctor Bisquert.
The routes, completely free, will start from the Municipal Market at 19:30 p.m. Places are limited and prior registration is required via email benitatxell@touristinfo.net, by calling 96 649 35 46 or in person at the Tourist Office (C/ Mercado, 1).
