Two fires in the Marina Alta have burned a total of 5.000 m2 in just 24 hours. The first occurred on the night of Monday to Tuesday in the Vall d'Alcalà and burned 1.400 m2. The second, began last night in Pego in Tossalet de les Monges, in the Calvari game.
The rapid intervention of the Park Fire Department Dénia has avoided a tragedy on a day of extreme heat, since the entire region is within the heat wave.
As reported by the 'pegolí' consistory, around 3.600 m2 of vegetation and scrub have been burned.
