The Business Union of the Province of Alicante (UEPAL) has presented 12 basic points that the group of political forces that attend the regional elections on May 28 should assume as their own for the sake of the socio-economic development of the province of Alicante.

Among the 12 proposals, some stand out for the Marina Alta region, such as the improvement of the A-7 and A-70, completing the coastal variants of the Las Marinas regions and modernizing the coastal train both in the south and in the regions of the Marina Alta. Three proposals that will improve road communication in this region with the capitals and other towns in the Region.

Likewise, the union of businessmen also proposes to develop a clear commitment to improving the Alicante-Murcia and Alicante-Valencia suburban network, which provides more frequent passage to the municipalities between the two cities, as well as promoting the rail connection with the airport.

Among the 12 points is the request to modernize the local and regional administration in terms of bureaucratic processing, reducing and simplifying documentary requirements, shortening processing times and establishing positive silence in favor of the administered as a guarantee of development.

Reducing the tax burden on business activity, especially SMEs, Micro-SMEs and the self-employed, and family businesses, is another of the demands of businessmen for the parties that are going to govern, which is added to that of generating a training offer that covers the current demand for qualified workers, that has the collaboration of the business fabric and that makes it possible to generate FP cycles or job training courses for those sectors with labor problems.

Another of the proposals is to establish systems of decentralization of the Autonomous Administration in the whole of the province of Alicante, which covers and recognizes the diversity and richness of its regions.

The UEPAL also requests to reconvert Labora (Servef) into an entity of interest to companies and workers, which efficiently serves for the search and recruitment of labor personnel, while collaborating in the training of people seeking employment at the request of the different sectors.

The last two requests is to continue with the improvement, modernization and provision of infrastructures and services in polygons, industrial areas and technological enclaves of the Valencian Community, as well as to generate more industrial land, as well as to generate tools to improve the competitiveness of the ecosystem of the commercial distribution and the promotion of the modernization of the commercial fabric, with greater attention to retail and local commerce.
