At the beginning of July, Zaragoza hosted the Spanish Team Championship, where the gymnasts Triana Ruano, from CG Les Marines de Calp, and Lola Rodríguez, from the Chamara Club, won the title of Spanish Champions in the youngest category and in the hands-free mode.
Yeva Taranenko and Triana Ruano were the representatives of CG Les Marines in the championship. Taranenko, competing in the juvenile category and performing the club exercise for the Batistana Club of Tenerife, did not have his best performance, but his team achieved a creditable ninth place, remaining on the verge of the finals and among the ten best teams in Spain .
Triana Ruano, for her part, performed the hands-free exercise for the Benjamin team, which also included Lola Rodríguez from the Chamara Club. Ruano stood out with an impeccable execution that earned her the title of Spanish Hands-Free Champion. After her performance, the team was in second position, less than half a point from first place.
Lola Rodríguez completed the team's participation with a perfect rope exercise, also obtaining the title of Spanish Champion. With the sum of both exercises, Ruano and Rodríguez rose to the top of the podium, crowned as Spanish champions in the youngest category.
On Friday, July 5, the young team appeared in its first finals. Triana Ruano returned to the mat and, with an excellent performance, placed runner-up in Spain in the finals. Rodríguez, for his part, performed another magnificent rope exercise, also winning the silver medal. Thus, the gymnasts were proclaimed runners-up in Spain in the finals.
This victory marks the fifth time that a gymnast from the Les Marines Club has been proclaimed Spanish champion on the Benjamin team, a historic milestone for the club. From CG Les Marines, they are very proud of the results obtained in the last national championship of the season and thank all the clubs and the technical team for their great work and dedication.
