'Digital transformation' still does not appear on the work agenda of many companies and freelancers in our municipality. Whether due to lack of knowledge, lack of conviction or the difficulty of assuming a significant initial investment, the digitalization process of Benissa's economic fabric is being slower than expected.

Accelerating this process is part of the joint work being carried out by the Modernization Department and the AFIC-Creama Department of Commerce. Proof of this is that next Wednesday the 4th at 15:XNUMX p.m., in collaboration with the Federation of Metal Companies of the Province of Alicante (FEMPA), a meeting will be held that plans to bring together some thirty companies and It will serve, among other things, to report on the operation of European Union aid for initiatives related to digitization.
Within the program are described those related to the creation of a web page, the management of networks
social, the implementation of electronic invoicing, cybersecurity or big data. The meeting will be attended by the mayor, Arturo Poquet, accompanied by Jorge Ivars and Isabel Bou, in addition to the entire technical team of Cream Benissa who has been working on this meeting since March. FEMPA will be in charge of providing the speaker and the consistory will invite the attendees to some traditional sweets from Benissa.
The head of Modernization has highlighted the importance of continuing to develop actions in this direction, since according to himself he has said "the digitization train is coming and we cannot afford to let it pass by".
