Storms and hail: when will the DANA move away from the Marina Alta?

May 03 from 2022 - 10: 44

We started a stormy month of May in the region. The State Meteorological Agency activated the yellow alert for storms in the Marina Alta from Monday at 18:00 p.m. until midnight today.

But not only that, but the warning for accumulated precipitation will last until 23:59 on Wednesday. And, as if that were not enough, it announces the probability of hail this Tuesday.

The instability will be noticeable until, probably, Thursday. MeteoPego confirms the trend and adds that the weather will remain choppy and highly variable until almost the end of the week. Today, it seems that the day will be calmer, although on Wednesday the instability will increase with a chance of rain until Thursday morning.

The pegolí forecast advances "local, strong and short-term rains", which will be unpredictable, although more likely during the afternoon and towards the interior of the region. But, on Wednesday, they could become more general and persistent.

En Dénia, for example, AEMET confirms the predictions with a view to the next seven days. For its part, Xàbia presents a similar forecast with some differences in terms of temperature, which may increase 1ºC more than in the capital of the region.

Magnificent photo of the Paseo de la Marieta, very illustrative.
