In order to ensure order and the correct use of public space, the Municipality of Teulada has announced a series of measures to strengthen control over the parking of motorhomes in the municipality. Among the planned actions is the adaptation of the municipal ordinance and the installation of height limiting frames at the entrances to the municipal car parks in Teulada Moraira.
These decisions respond to a growing problem in various parts of the municipality, where a massive use of public car parks and private land by motorhomes as camping areas has been detected. In addition, possible illegal waste dumping has been identified that affects the environment and the local territory.
Thanks to the amendment to the ordinance, the local police will have more legal tools to act effectively against illegal parking and camping, allowing them to apply control measures and sanctions when necessary.
Furthermore, the installation of frames at the entrances to car parks will limit the maximum height of vehicles that can access these spaces, thus ensuring that they are used in accordance with their original purpose.
The mayor of Teulada Moraira, Raul Llobell, has stated that "our objective is to guarantee an appropriate use of public spaces in which all types of vehicles can coexist in a legal manner, with respect and preservation of the environment."
