The Department of Equality of Teulada Moraira, led by Rosana Caselles, has worked together with various local associations to organize a varied program in commemoration of International Women's Day, on March 8.
Under the slogan "Building Equality", an awareness campaign has been launched on how to promote gender equality through co-responsibility in areas such as education, raising children and housework.
Councilor Caselles has expressed her demand for the same rights and responsibilities for men and women, including the right to take a break from work, shared responsibility for daily tasks, and the obligation to educate their sons and daughters. Caselles affirms that we must have the same responsibilities and work together to build values of equality in our society.
Wednesday March 1
- 09:30 a.m. 'Ser dona al sud 2023'. Institutional meeting organized by the Fons Valencià per la Solitatat and the Teulada City Council, with the participation of technical and political personnel. The objective is to account for the results of the international cooperation project, in this case developed by the Rafael González Cooperative of Ecuador, claiming a dignified life for the artisans of toquilla straw from the canton of Biblián.
Sunday March 5
- 09:30 a.m. Solidarity March. Organized by the Housewives of Teulada and subsidized by the Teulada City Council through the Department of Equality. Registration until March 3 at www.somesport.com, Tienda Nova Decor Teulada or Tienda Vte. Ferrer Moraira. Donations of €5. The proceeds will go to the association Teulada Moraira Contra el Cáncer.

- 12:00 p.m. Reading the institutional manifesto. The IES Teulada will also read its manifesto and will accompany the act with a small performance.
Thursday March 9
- 19:00 p.m. Female Postural Health. Learn to improve your posture on a daily basis. Teulada Assembly Hall. Taught by the Raquel Moll physiotherapy center. Organized by the Teulada Housewives Association and subsidized by the Teulada City Council through the Department of Equality. Free entry- Duration 1:30h.
Friday March 10
- 19:30 p.m. Shorts in Female awarded in 2022. Program of short films directed by women and produced in Spain, convened annually by TRAMA (Coordinator of Film, Video and Multimedia Festivals and Shows made by women).

- 20:00 p.m. 'Gifts in music'. Tribute women in local music. Organized by the Xarxa de Dones de Teulada Moraira in collaboration with the Auditorium and the Teulada City Council.
