Ondara has lived the celebration of the second weekend of the Ondara Fair 2022, the Fira de Fires since 1690, organized by the Department of Tourism and Economic Promotion. This weekend, November 19 and 20, the Trade and Company Fair was held in Prado, the Animal Fair in the bullring, the Attractions Fair, and the III Ondara Fair Tapas Contest in their own local establishments. In addition, the Trenet has continued to operate, and it has been possible to enjoy sweet and savory tastings at the stand of the Fester de la Soledat i Crist 2023, next to Prado.
The mayor of Ondara and responsible for Economic Promotion and Commerce, José Ramiro, members of the municipal corporation and representatives of local associations, inaugurated the Trade and Business Fair on Saturday. Next, the delegation visited the Animal Fair. The inauguration of the Fair included the musical setting by Ondara Colla from Dolçaines i Tabals.
José Ramiro made a "very positive" assessment of the fair given the high participation, stressing that at this fair local merchants can show their products and services to people from the Navy and also from outside, highlighting the fact that the Trade Fair de Ondara, which has been documented since 1690, "brings many visitors". He indicated that in this year's edition it is being possible to enjoy the fair with full normality, and that a great desire of the merchants to participate has been detected, highlighting that "proximity commerce is a very close service that makes people."
The mayor affirmed that the Trade and Business Fair "is a sample of the commercial potential that Ondara has" and thanked the presence of all the businesses that have participated this year, indicating that at the fair it has been possible to enjoy all the news and services of Ondara companies. José Ramiro highlighted the work of ACO, the Association of Merchants and Entrepreneurs of Ondara, "because of what they do every day for the town." A total of 24 local businesses and some regional ones have participated.
It should be noted that the Animal Fair complemented this second weekend of the fair very well, which also featured carriage rides, run by the Associació de carters i cavallistes d'Ondara, which have also taken place this year professionals and specialists in horses to the fair, making "a great effort that has made the fair shine more than ever this year," according to the mayor. The Animal Fair has been held in the bullring, organized with the collaboration of the Association of Carreteros y Cavallistes de Ondara, and has had 12 corrals with all kinds of animals, as well as cars at noon to take the children for a walk and girls. There has also been a magnificent car exhibition in the bullring. Exhibitors, professionals, and dealers in the field from all over the Valencian Community have participated in the animal show.
This weekend, too, the III Tapas Contest has continued in the local bars and restaurants, the trenet of the fair, and the stand of the Fester de la Soledat i Crist 2023 with sweet and savory tastings.
