After the first meeting of the Advisory Council of Mayors of Suma Gestión Tributaria, which is being held in this legislature, was held this morning at the MARQ, the president of the Diputación de Alicante, Carlos Mazón, announced that SUMA Gestión Tributaria will provide people in of vulnerability or risk of exclusion the division of taxes up to a period of two years.

In this way, the taxpayers who will be able to take advantage of this measure will be those with earnings below the minimum interprofessional salary or with a report issued by the Social Services departments. In this sense, Mazón has stressed: "This measure is necessary at a time as difficult as the one we are experiencing, with an autumn that is being very complicated and a winter that will be even more so".

“We are going to make a historic commitment to facilitate the taxation of local taxes to municipalities. The Diputación is the only administration that has lowered taxes and we are offering extraordinary facilities”, the president announced. In addition, he added: "We will carry out special subdivisions with those taxpayers who are below the minimum interprofessional salary or who have a declaration of vulnerability, because poverty is growing in the province of Alicante and in the Valencian Community."

As Mazón has specified: “The installments and personal payments to contribute to the liquidation of these local taxes reached up to one year and now we are going to double that period and make personalized plans, with installments of up to two years, in order to facilitate the maximum the harsh and difficult circumstances that the population is going through.”

Finally, the provincial official has assured that from the Diputación "we have that financial capacity to be able to help and make the most of all our possibilities and provide citizens with the hard shopping basket, as well as the tax rate and pressure that exists in the Community Valencian”.

For her part, the deputy for the Treasury, María Gómez, has reiterated the support of the Diputación to the municipalities in times of difficulty. “When there has been an emergency in the province, as was the case with the floods in Vega Baja or the fire in La Vall d'Ebo, we have implemented additional measures aimed at making it easier for citizens to pay taxes and they They appreciate it," he said.

In this sense, Gómez has recalled that either "through advances for municipalities with smaller populations or through fractionation measures or other types of aid, we have contributed to alleviating that burden and we have always requested the collaboration of the mayors so that tell us your needs."

As has been said, the announcement has been made after the Advisory Council of Mayors of Suma Tax Management, which includes fifteen mayors from the province, who will form part of this consultative and participatory body. In addition to Mazón and Gómez, the session was attended by the director of the autonomous body, José Antonio Belso, and the provincial deputies Juan de Dios Navarro, Alejandro Morant and Javier Gutiérrez.

Mazón, after welcoming mayors and councillors, has indicated that they have been chosen "following a population criterion and always in those municipalities that have delegated or entrusted their tax procedures to the Diputación".

The purpose of the Mayors' Advisory Council is to inform the councilors of the management and work carried out by Suma, as well as to offer them a space for participation, dialogue and consultation so that they present their ideas, their needs and their demands at the tax level.

The fifteen mayors who join this body and who have been appointed, according to the statutes of the local autonomous body of the Provincial Council, are that of Crevillent, Manuel Penalva; Benidorm, Toni Pérez; Torrevieja, Eduardo Dolón; Relleu, Lino Antonio Pascual, Calpe, Ana María Sala; Tollos, Félix Frau; Rocamora Farm, Francisco Javier Mora; Benejúzar, Rosa María García; Elche, Carlos González; Dénia, Vicente Grimalt; Pinoso, Lázaro Azorín; Xixona, Isabel López; Els Poblets, Carolina Vives; Jacarilla, Pilar Díaz; and Ibi, Rafael Serralta.
