The political formation Somos Calpe, party of the mayor of Calp, Ana Sala, has recently carried out the formation of the new Executive and the appointment of important control bodies. Last Saturday, more than 50 members of the formation participated in the Extraordinary Assembly at its headquarters.
In this way, it was decided that the president, Benito Sánchez Martos, will continue to lead the party. The decision was received with enthusiasm by those present. In his opening remarks, the president expressed his gratitude to all members, highlighting “the spirit of unity and collaboration that characterizes Somos Calpe. "We have formed a family, a group of people who work very well."
Likewise, the honorary designation of Rafael Heredia as honorary president was agreed, a recognition deserved for his dedication and commitment to the ideals of the party. In relation to the vice presidency, Juan Manuel de Pino will occupy said position, while Rebeca Merchán She will be in charge of the secretariat. Both demonstrated their confidence in Ana Sala's leadership from the first moment, which is why they have been given the responsibility of playing prominent roles within the party.
The treasurer will be Juan Abal and the general coordinator will be Fran de Gea, both founders of Somos Calpe. From their respective positions they will contribute "their experience and knowledge to strengthen financial management and coordinate the party's activities effectively," the formation has reported.
In addition, the Executive will have seven members led by Mariola Mulet, Pedro Moll, Paqui Solivelles, Mihai Nicolescu, Püppi Drews, Ana María Ribes and Irune Aguirre. Each member will be supported by deputy members who will contribute in various areas, forming work teams to address issues such as beaches, sports, parties, economic promotion, among others.
On the other hand, in compliance with the party's statutes, a Guarantee Committee was appointed made up of Salvador Morató, Rafael Heredia and Steve Bowers. Likewise, a Financial Control Commission was founded, composed of Alejandro Pérez, Leonor Calatayud, Ángela Massanet, Toñi Monroy and Juan Ferrer, who will ensure the "transparency and correct management" of the party's economic resources.
During the Assembly, in addition to the formation of the new Executive and the control bodies, a topic of relevance for political formation and for the future of Calp was addressed. The possibility of the formal adhesion of Somos Calpe to the Municipalist Union was raised, a movement that brings together independent parties from all over Spain.
In this sense, it was decided to actively participate in this movement, "which represents a platform for the exchange of ideas, experiences and good practices," considered the Calpine party. In the words of Ana Sala: "This is a movement that makes us grow as a party and that can provide us with an invaluable opportunity to collaborate with other political actors."
