The Mitjafava Fest del Poble Nou de Benitatxell returns to the streets with the desire to leave behind the most difficult days of the pandemic. The party will take place from April 12 to 24. The event, with the fava poblera as the main protagonist and representative of the municipality, will revolve around this star product.
Mitjafava Fest 2022 schedule
El Tuesday April 12 It will be the prelude to what is to come. At 20:00 p.m. in the Social Center, the restorers of the town will present the tapifaves that can be tasted on Sunday 24 at the Tapifava Festival.
In addition, some of those same restaurants will participate in the Haba Gastronomic Days, scheduled from April 18 to 22. Every day of the week, a restaurant in the town will offer a succulent plate of arròs amb fava pelada to eat:

The main dishes will come on the weekend, with a great festival of gastronomy and music. The Friday 22 will be inaugurated, at 18:30 p.m., the Artisan Fair with a parade by the Colla La Llebetjà. The fair will last all weekend with an interactive farm, shops and workshops of traditional trades. At 19:00 p.m., the Poble-born writer Empar Ferrer will present her new children's book Bragat, el gat influencer del Puig Llorença at her Social Center.
And to round off the opening day, there will be a showcooking by three renowned chefs: Moncho Riquelme, from the Casa Riquelme Restaurant in Alicante, and the sisters Yhoana and Cynthia Gavilanes, from the Chola Gastro Jávea Restaurant, recommended in the Repsol Guide. They will cook a tapa with haba poblera and then a wine of honor and tasting tapas will be offered to the attendees.
Rock & Fava
El Saturday 23, music will be the main protagonist with the Rock&Fava festival. In the morning there will be lunch and bar service by the Band, storytelling for the little ones and the Moscatel workshop with the 5 senses (pre-registration on the phone 615398238).
The Grup de Danses Morro Falquí will also perform at 12:00, and a Carmencita Spices workshop and a contest for boys and girls between 3 and 13 years old will be offered. Each and every participant will receive a gift and, in addition, the five winners of each workshop will receive a special prize of Carmencita products. Places are limited. In the afternoon he returns Poblero afternoon, with music and tapas in the Plaza de les Pesqueres. At 17:30 p.m. there will be a children's show with Marcel el Marcià and a toy library service all afternoon.

El Sunday April 24, the Mitjafava Fest will say goodbye with a great day with activities such as the parade of the Band, lunch by the Association of Merchants, toy library service and the Tapifava Festival with popular prices, in which the bars and restaurants of the town will offer various culinary elaborations with bean poblera.
At 12:30 p.m. Oller&Guerra will perform, and to finish off, at 13:30 p.m. the prizes will be awarded to the winners of the wine contest, the fava més llarga (the longest bean) and the fava de més gallons (the with more seeds).
