The de-escalation continues: The hotel business may open until 22 p.m. and the curfew is maintained

22 2021 April - 21: 04

Ximo Puig has appeared this afternoon after the interdepartmental meeting on the situation of COVID-19 to announce how the restrictions will be from Monday, April 26. The appearance leaves a great headline: The hotel business will be able to open until curfew at 22 p.m. from Monday, April 26.

In addition, regarding the capacity of the restaurants, the current measures are maintained: 100% of the terraces and a third of the interiors. The tables will also continue to be 6 people.

The business hours are also extended until the time of curfew and the same capacity is maintained as until now. While cultural activities increase their capacity from 50% to 75% and ceremonies and banquets to 50%.

The rest of the restrictions will continue as before. Therefore, meetings in private spaces (homes) will be allowed with a maximum of participants of up to two cohabitants and in public outdoor spaces there may be up to 6 participants without the need for them to be cohabitants.

As for the perimeter closure, it will remain in force throughout the Community.

Ximo Puig: “We cannot relax, the virus is still there”

Accelerate vaccination, act with maximum prudence and apply a responsible opening, these are the three premises of the Generalitat in the face of the pandemic.

Although "we Valencians have done our homework," Puig stressed in his appearance that "we cannot relax, the virus is still there and until we have a general vaccination we have to continue being cautious."

As the Generalitat had already announced in recent days, the objective is to save the summer tourist season and for this the de-escalation is taking place very slowly, despite currently being the community with the least accumulated incidence in Spain (40 per hundred thousand population).

These measures will come into force next Monday, April 26, and will continue for two weeks, as usual, until next May 9. Day on which the state of alarm decreed by the central government in October 2020 also ends and which will therefore mean the end of the perimeter closure of the Community and the curfew.
