The municipalities of the Marina Alta are the protagonists in the Alicante Provincial Council's commitment to modernise and improve the province's water infrastructure. The corporation has approved the Alicante Intelligent Water (AIGUA) project and the resolution of two calls for subsidies aimed at optimising water supply and sanitation, with a total investment exceeding twelve million euros.

The First Vice President and Member of Parliament for the area, Ana Serna, has highlighted "the commitment of the Provincial Council of Alicante to a resource as essential as water, ensuring that it is used efficiently and sustainably through investment in technology and innovation."

The AIGUA project: digitalisation to ensure efficiency

This public-private collaboration initiative will mobilise more than 8,2 million euros to improve water management and control, with a direct impact on more than 252.000 people.
