The Department of Tourism of the Teulada City Council has carried out different actions throughout this month of November, to publicize the progress in the preparation of the Teulada-Moraira Intelligent Tourist Destination Master Plan.
In this project, the participation of all agents is essential to identify the challenges of the destination and work to promote governance, innovation, digitization and sustainability of the municipality as a whole.
In this way, a first call was developed with the technical and political part of the City Council, making known the different challenges framed within the DTI Comunitat Valenciana model. In addition, some of the proposals for actions that will shape the definitive Master Plan were presented.
A second call was developed with the business and commercial fabric, inviting them to participate in a work meeting, where different proposals for action were publicly presented and the results of the online surveys previously carried out with the tourist companies of Teulada Moraira were analyzed.
At the same time, an interdepartmental work commission has been created made up of different technical areas of the City Council in order to work together in monitoring the actions of the DTI project.
Currently, the participatory process continues to find out the opinion of local associations through an online survey system. This is complemented by the imminent creation of a Tourism Advisory Council, made up of representatives of the business and associative sector.
Governance is the necessary axis to develop a management system based on public-private participation, transparency, the design and application of policies, effectiveness (with objective and evaluable measures) and coherence in the actions to be developed in Teulada Moraira .
The Councilor for Tourism, Susanne Katzgrau, appreciates the effort made by all those who have actively participated in this phase of the DTI project.
