An hour after the last update, the Fire Department claims to have stabilized the fire in the Vall d'Ebo at 10:00. With no plans to finally consider it controlled during today's session, the data on the area burned continues to be 12.150 hectares razed and 100 km of perimeter affected.
In order to consider it controlled, the troops are working on the necessary tasks to secure the area and prevent outbreaks. Aerial and ground surveillance is key to discovering and extinguishing possible flames.
As a way to cool the area, the firefighters continue to pour water and remove the earth to reach the mineral soil. This prevents there from being a vegetal continuity that could favor the so-called reproductions of fire.
According to the Fire Department, the latest figures of the burned perimeter could vary, since at the end of the work they are recalculated and the regrowth can make them vary.
