During today's Plenary Session of the Consell, the deputy of Compromís, Josep Nadal, wanted to convey to the Minister of Health, Miguel Mínguez, his concern about the state of the reversal of the management of the Department of Health of Dénia on which the entire Marina Alta region depends.
Last July, The Valencian group managed to approve the Proposal for a law of special urgent processing on the reversion of the Department of Health of Dénia. Now, Nadal has wanted to ask for explanations as to why the proposal has not yet been fulfilled.
As Nadal explained, "the objective of initiating the reversal earlier was to prevent the disaster that we have already gone through with other processes, motivated by the chaos caused by the company, which empties the computer systems, causing the suffering of citizens and staff, since that you can't date or anything. Les Corts gave the Consell a tool to tie the company short and it has not been taken advantage of.
In his response to Nadal, Mínguez has assured that On January 31, the management company, Ribera Salud, will be notified of the non-extension of the contract. If this is the case, it should be noted that the deadline established to communicate it will be as quick as possible, since the last day to do so is February 1, 2023. The minister added that the delay is due to the Consell's desire to reach the maximum guarantees so that the process is carried out properly, "avoiding prosecution" in any case.
In this way, "the procedure will be initiated so that on January 31, 2024, when the private concession ends, the health department of the Marina Alta returns to public management," added Compromís.

Why didn't the Ministry of Health intervene at the time if this sale was illegal? And, he wanted to highlight that a framework agreement for reversions has not yet been approved that serves to reassure the staff of the departments that have been reverted or will be reverted.
Despite his insistent intervention, the Compromís deputy wanted to reach out to Les Corts to make the reversals of Dénia and Manises effective once and for all.
