The Department of Universal Health and Public Health wants to gradually recover face-to-face care in the health centers of the Valencian Community.
The objective, agreed between the General Directorate of Health Assistance and the Primary Care Directorates of the different health departments, is that up to 80% of the face-to-face activity during the month of May depending on the need for care.
The improvement of the epidemiological situation allows at this time, as the Minister of Health, Ana Barceló advanced last week, to gradually open the face-to-face agendas for medical, Nursing and Pediatric personnel of the health centers.
In this way, citizens will be able to choose between telephone or face-to-face attention when they need to go to the first level of care, Primary Care, and request an appointment through the GVA + Salut APP, on the Health website, by phone at their health center or on line 961 839 000.
The reactivation of face-to-face care is accompanied by two other measures aimed at optimizing care, avoiding unnecessary travel for citizens and preventing overcrowding in health centers that compromise the safety of professionals and patients.
Triage is maintained for patients who request assistance without prior appointment to offer each patient the service they require as soon as possible and with the most appropriate resources for their need. The telephone attention will be used preferably, for follow-ups or second visits that are not serious.
