The Minister of Health, Ana Barceló, announced yesterday afternoon that "fallas activities like any traditional or popular festival can be celebrated in the Valencian Community from September 1." That is the conclusion that Barceló conveyed to the representatives of the Fallas.
Although the meeting was held mainly to address the issue of the Fallas, the councilor explained that it is the starting point for any other festival but, in any case, it will be the party groups who decide the date for the celebration.
The Ministry has maintained September as the earliest date "because it guarantees an important time margin and more possibilities of controlling the pandemic with the increase in vaccination in the next two months." The coming months, Ana Barceló has assured, "will serve to increase vaccination and arrive much more protected."
Regarding the type of events that will be authorized as long as the measures that are in force at that time are complied with, the basic statement that Ana Barceló has made has been to "avoid crowds of all kinds, both of the staff inside the party, as well as of "the people who attend the events."
