The guitarist, singer and songwriter from Pedreguer, Sandra Monfort, was one of the great winners of the IV Carles Santos Awards of Valencian Music.
Monfort won the award for best new artist for 'Niño Reptil Ángel', which also won the award for best album of the year. Zoo, the Valencian group of the moment, and Sandra Monfort have been the great winners of these awards.
'Niño Reptil Ángel' is the first solo work under her name by the Pedreguer artist that combines with the group 'Marala', who already won this same award last year.

These prizes are awarded by the Department of Education, Culture and Sports, organized by the Institut Valencià de Cultura. This edition was delivered at the Teatre Principal in Castelló de la Plana.
The event was attended by the Minister of Education, Culture and Sports, Vicent Marzà, the regional secretary for Culture and Sports, Raquel Tamarit, and representatives of different Valencian institutions.
