They propose new actions to value the beekeeping sector of the Marina Alta

Last Thursday, November 10, the El Ràfol de Almúnia auditorium hosted a beekeeping day that brought together beekeepers from all over the Marina Alta. It was a session organized by CREAMA as the technical secretariat of PACTE'MA and the Valencian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FVMP).

On behalf of CREAMA, the project of the Xarxa Agrícola was exposed, which works with the objective of revitalizing the agricultural sector of the Marina Alta. On this day, a series of specific actions were proposed for the beekeeping sector, focused on improving the commercialization of honey and enhancing the beekeeping product of the region.

Create routes and experiences

In addition to the Xarxa Agrícola exhibition, the Passaport Marina Alta project reported on the website that is being created and that links public and private resources linked to tourism in the region. This digital tool collects routes-experiences that pass through several municipalities following a specific theme, trying to structure the territory at a tourist level.

Next, the Employment and Local Development Agents of the FMVP in agreement with LABORA, informed of the different Digital Kit aids that can be requested in order to adapt the beekeeping companies to the demand of the
current consumers. The Gasterra Center of the University of Alicante also reported the possibility of incorporating interns to deal with issues related to beehives and beekeeping.

Create a brand

The Association of Beekeepers of Montgó also participated in the event, presenting the idea of ​​acting jointly and creating a brand of honey with its own identity from the Marina Alta and with specific quality standards. Finally, an interesting debate was generated among the attendees who exchanged ideas and concerns of the sector.

The Xarxa Agrícola and Passaport Marina Alta projects are included within CREAMA and PACTE'MA are subsidized by LABORA Valencian Employment and Training Service and by the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy, within the AVALEM TERRITORI program of the Generalitat Valenciana.
