The most important Christmas event in Gata de Gorgos is the Mystery of Kings (Mystery of Reis). It's about a theatrical event inspired by the Auto de los Reyes Magos by Antonio Salvà Roselló. The work tells the story of the arrival of their majesties the three Wise Men, the anger of King Herod and the birth of Jesus. It is a Festival of Regional Tourist Interest which has its own programme during the Christmas period, given its importance in Gata and throughout the Valencian region.

- 18: 30 hours: collection of letters in Plaça de l'Esglèsia.
January 4 Saturday
- At sunset, announcing side of the arrival of the Three Wise Men from the East through all the streets of the town.
January 5 Sunday
- 18: 00 hours: Entry of the Kings through Calle la Pau and parade to the school group, accompanied by the Unió Musical de Gata and the Escola Municipal de Dansa.
- 18: 30 hours: Gata's Misteri de Reis, a Festival of Regional Tourist Interest, at the School Group.
