The Moors and Christians festival in Moraira is a tradition that the town carries out annually. This 2024, Moraira celebrates its popular festival again From 7 to June 16 with an extensive program that invites both residents and visitors. This year the organizing captaincies are Filà Caballeros del Rey Don Jaime, from the Christian side, and Filà Al-Mhadrabba, from the Moro side.
From June 3 to 16
- Exhibition of the posters participating in the Moros y Cristianos 2024 Poster Making Contest. In addition, the exhibition of the drawings made in the XXIII Drawing Contest at the Espai la Senieta in Moraira.
Friday June 7
- 19: 30 hours: Inauguration of the Andalusian Medieval Market.
- 20: 30 hours: party proclamation by Antonio Ivars Vallés, better known as Mixeta, in the Tina Bru Assembly Hall of Espai La Senieta in Moraira. Next, the awards ceremony for the XXIII Drawing Contest organized by the Central Board and with the collaboration of the AMPA of the CEIP Cap d'Or of Moraira and the AMPA of the CEIP Sant Vicent Ferrer of Teulada. Finally, the award was given to the winner of the poster announcing the Moors and Christians Festival 2024, Paula Ivars Lino.
Saturday 8 June
- 12: 00 hours: Concentration of Moors and Christians in the Urban Forest and preparation of the brotherhood meal. All enlivened by the Xaló Bataclán brass band.
- 21: 30 hours: Concentration of all the ranks in the Fortí with their flag bearers 2024. Then parade to the esplanade of the Castle, accompanied by the Colla El Falçó from Teulada and the Colla La Llebetjà from Benitatxell.
- 22: 00 hours: Pennant Presentation Ceremony on the Castle esplanade. Next, discomobile with DJ Àlex Femenia

- 19: 00 hours: International Festival with the groups Becky BB, Babylon, Alex Ball-Elvis Tribute, Tender Caves, Strickland, DC3 and La Economía.

- 20: 00 hours: Concert by the British Choir in the Moraira Parish.
Wednesday June 12
- 20: 30 hours: Concert by the Colla el Falçó, Associació Musical i Cultural de Teulada on Doctor Calatayud street.
Thursday June 13
- 21: 00 hours: Brotherhood dinner on the street Dénia. At the end, discomobile with DJ Javi Mas by the Filà Caballeros del Rey Don Jaime, Christian captaincy 2024.
Friday June 14
- 13: 00 hours: Concentration of the Moro and Christian sides in the Fortí and parade accompanied by brass bands.
- 13: 20 hours: Departure of the trabucadores to tour the streets of Moraira trabucating.
- 14: 00 hours: Arquebus shot on the Castle Esplanade. Next, informal parade by the Moro and Christian Bands.
- 19: 00 hours: Offering of flowers in honor of the Holy Christ of Moraira in the Hermitage of the Castle. At the end of the event, the interpretation of the march Offer to the castle, composed by Rafael Soriano and dedicated to the Central Board of Moors and Christians of Moraira and the 2019/2023 president Carla Beltrán. This march will be performed under the direction of Rafael Soriano.
- 23: 00 hours: Conquer Mora on La Ampolla Beach, followed by the Mora Embassy
00:00 hours: Night of captaincies by the 2024 captaincies, Filà Caballeros del Rey Don Jaime and Filà Al-Mhadrabba, who will perform a night of charanga with the UM Rotglà brass band.
Saturday 15 June
- 08: 30 hours: General awakening with harquebuses and brass band.
- 11: 00 hours: Concentration of the Moro and Christian side in the Fortí to give rise to the parade.
- 12: 00 hours: Mass in honor of the Holy Christ in the Parish of Moraira. Then parade to the Castle esplanade.
- 13: 00 hours: Arquebus shot on the Castle Esplanade. Next, informal parade of the Moorish and Christian sides.
- 19: 30 hours: Concentration in the Fortí of all the ranks, then a parade of the Christian and Moorish sides to the Ampolla beach.
- 20: 00 hours: Christian reconquest on the Ampolla beach. Assault on Moraira Castle by the Christian Band followed by the Christian Embassy and Reconquest of the Castle.
- 00: 00 hours: Popular retreat from the Fortí with brass bands.
- 00: 30 hours: Night of cabilas with the performance of the LA METRO orchestra on Avenida del Portet. There will be bar service by the Captaincies 2025, Filà Corsarias de la Reina and Filà Bashira.

- 19: 00 hours: Entrance of Music Bands from the Castle to the Fortí.
- 20: 00 hours: Grand Gala Parade of the Moorish and Christian Bands. At the end of the parade, a fireworks display by Zarzoso pyrotechnics.
