The Moors and Christians festival in Benissa returns to the municipality to be held from June 21 to 30, 2025. Some dates in which all the popular acts that characterize the beloved festivities will be concentrated.
Thursday June 19
- 19: 30 hours: In Les Cases del Batlle, a lecture entitled "Meals of the Festival" by Dr. Jose Xavier Esplugues. This was followed by a presentation of documents produced by the Benissa Philatelic and Numismatic Association to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Moors and Christians Festival in Benissa.
Friday June 20
- 23: 00 hours: II Premi Sant Pere, Valencian pilot game in the Trinquet of Benissa.
Saturday 21 June
- 12: 00 hours: Vermouth and beer tasting on the promenade Mr. Joaquín Piera and Mrs. Mariana Torres.
- 19: 30 hours: Parade of pennants and festive officials.
- 20: 30 hours: Presentation of pennants, standard-bearers, and captains in the castle grounds, and opening speech by Jaime Grimalt Blanco.
- 22: 00 hours: Gathering of the filaes and brotherhood dinner on the promenade Sr. Joaquín Piera and Sra. Mariana Torres.
- 24: 00 hours: Performance by the La Pato Orchestra in Plaza Jaume I.
Wednesday June 25
- 19: 00 hours: II Meeting "Future of our Festival".
Thursday June 26
- 19: 00 hours: Festive music concert in Plaça del Convent by the Societat Lírica Musical de Benissa and the Colla de Xirimiters Pere Bigot.
- 23: 00 hours: Gathering of the revelers by the tribes and gathering in the castle grounds.
- 23: 30 hours: "First Tro" by the festive officials of 2025.
- 23: 45 hours: Parade to the Plaça del Convent and a night of brass bands.
Friday June 27
- 22: 30 hours: Siege by the Moorish side from the Plaça del Convent to the castle.
- 23: 30 hours: Moorish embassy and capture of the castle by the Moorish troops.
- 00: 30 hours: Musical performance by the Gravity Orchestra in Plaza Jaume I.
Saturday 28 June
- 12: 00 hours: Memorial to deceased festival-goers at the Municipal Cemetery.
- 17: 30 hours: A procession of all the filaes carrying Saint Peter the Apostle. At the end, an offering is made in honor of our patron saint.
- 19: 00 hours: Children's entry and XXXIII Children's and Youth Caps d'Esquadra Competition.
- 20: 00 hours: Siege by the Christian side, from the Convent square to the castle grounds.
- 21: 15 hours: Within the castle grounds, there is a Christian embassy and the subsequent reconquest of the village of Benissa by Christian forces. At the end, a night of Kabyles is held throughout the filaes.
Dominican 29 June
- 11: 00 hours: Parade of all the ranks.
- 12: 00 hours: Solemn mass in honor of our patron Saint Peter the Apostle.
- 18: 30 hours: Entrance of music bands.
- 18: 45 hours: Start from l'Entrà. Beginning of the gala parade.
- 19: 00 hours: Gala parade.
Lunes de junio 30
- 11: 00 hours: Parade of all the families and visit to the nursing home.
- 20: 00 hours: Humorous parade of all the lines and closing party.
