Program of Patron Saint Festivities of Ondara – Mare de Déu de la Soledat 2023

The patron saint festivities of the Virgen de la Soledad in Ondara return in style after the great effort and work of the Festival Commission this year. The people of Ondaran will meet again with the acts in honor of their patron saint, the Mare de Déu de la Soledat, July 6-10, 2023. This year the festivities acquire a special character, since the centenary of the patron saint of Ondara is commemorated.

Wednesday 5 of July

• 20: 00 hours: Departure from the Convent accompanied by the Nit antològiques de cant d'estil group. Several places in the town will be visited reciting the cant d'albaes, addressed to the oldest person, newborn, Queens and Festeros of Honor of the town.

Jueves 6 July

• 22: 00 hours: Concentration of the queens, courts of honor and authorities in the City Hall building to proceed with the lighting of lights and the first turning of the new Virgen de Soledad bell, made for the centenary, and the great restored bell María, thus beginning the parties.
• 22: 30 hours: Festival concert by the Ondara Musical Union, in the Plaza Mayor. The Older Queen will present a bowtie to the flag of the Musical Union. During the break, a snack of granita sorbet, cava courtesy of Vinalia Vinoteca and coca maria will be offered.

Friday July 7

• 12: 00 hours: Ringing of the Angelus and general ringing of bells. Next, firing of 21 Salves in honor of the Mare de Déu de la Soledat, patron saint of the village on her 100th anniversary.
• 12: 45 hours: Visit of the Comissió Soledat 2022 to the parish cemetery, accompanied by dolçaina and tabal. Upon arrival, prayer in memory of all the deceased from Ondara and offering a laurel wreath.
• 19: 00 hours: Collection of the Queens and their Courts of Honor, accompanied by the Ondara Musical Union.
• 21: 30 hours: Reception of the Major and Child Queens, Courts of Honor, Queens and Ladies of Honor 2022, Rector, Local Authorities, Associations and Queens and Authorities of other towns in the City Hall building. At the end, parade to the Plaza de Toros accompanied by the UM of Ondara.
• 23: 00 hours: "A Movie Coronation" enlivened by the Universal Chamber Orchestra with a visual and sound show. Act where the Queens Mayor and Infantil Soledat 2023 will be crowned, accompanied by their Courts of Honor and companions, in the Plaza de Toros, with the participation of the Queen and Ladies of Honor 2022 and the assistance of Mr. Rector, Authorities, Queens of neighboring towns, guests and people in general.

Saturday 8 July

• 08:00 am: Wake up accompanied by the dolçaina and the tabal.
• From 11:30 a.m.: aquatic and foam party, for girls and boys, in the Prado grounds. There will be surveillance monitors.
• 12: 00 hours: Parade of the Commission, Queens, Courts of Honor and companions through the area of ​​the old town of Ondara, up to the Prado enclosure, accompanied by the Charanga Me'n fot. We are waiting for you at vermouth time in the surroundings of the Prado.
• 19: 00 hours: Great parade of floats, comparsas and cavalcadures, accompanied by the youth band of the UM of Ondara, the Charanga TRMN2 BAND, the Ondarattack and D'Ondara percussion group, a group of dulzainas and drums. Float prizes: 1st-€500, 2nd-€400, 3rd-€300. Comparsas prizes: €1-400, €2-300, €3-200. Horse prizes: €1-300, €2-200, €3-100. The jury reserves the right to leave the prizes it deems appropriate void. Departure from the Sanchis Guarner School and, following the usual itinerary, it will end at the Prado, where the awards ceremony will take place.

• 22: 30 hours: Popular dinner in the Prado. The Commission will provide dinner, tables and chairs to attendees. The wine will be courtesy of Aguilar Winery. There will be a mojito service at the end of dinner. The tickets to be able to attend the dinner will be distributed in advance by the 2023 Festival Commission.
• 00: 00 hours: Spectacular festival by the Vertigo orchestra, in front of the Prado.

Sunday July 9

• 09: 00 hours: Mass in the parish church of Santa Anna.
• 10: 30 hours: Collection of the Queens, Courts, companions, Festeros and Authorities in charge of the TRMN2 Band.
• 12: 00 hours: Mass for the sick and disabled in honor of the Mare de Déu dels Desamparats in the Santa Ana parish church, sung by the Parish Choir. We will have the assistance of the elderly from the Mare de Déu de la Soledat Residence and the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick will be administered to whoever requests it. Next, visit the Mare de Déu de la Soledat residence, to offer a gift to our elders accompanied by the TRMN2 Band brass band.
• 18: 30 hours: Collection of the Queens, Courts of Honor, companions, Festival Commission and Authorities, in charge of the UM of Ondara, up to the parish church of Santa Ana.
• 19: 30 hours: Concentration in the Parish Church of Santa Ana of neighbors, Commissions of other years, associations of the town, other groups, Queens 2023 with their Courts and Companions, Festival Commission 2023, Mr. Rector and Authorities, to address the Offering. The itinerary will be followed in the direction of the interior of the Plaza de Toros.
• 20: 00 hours: Offering of flowers to Our Patron Saint, the Mare de Déu de la Soledat, inside the Plaza de Toros. Once the offering is over, a nocturnal mascletà from the Ricasa fireworks will be fired. Then, solemn transfer of the Mare de Déu de la Soledat to the Parish Church of Santa Ana, where the hymn to Our Patron Saint will be sung.
• 22: 30 hours:Popular dinner accompanied by the show The Talent. The Commission will provide dinner, tables and chairs to attendees. After dinner, a giant cake will be offered. The wine and cava will be courtesy of Bodegas Leopoldo. In order for everyone to enjoy the show, the tables and chairs will already be prepared and movements will not be possible. To reserve the space, tickets will be distributed in advance by the 2023 Party Commission.

Monday July 10

• 08: 00 hours: General bell ringing.
• 09: 00 hours: Mass of the Aurora in the Parochial church of Santa Anna.
• 10: 00 hours: Collection of the older and child queens and their Courts of Honor by the Charanga l'Atril to the Parish Church of Santa Anna.
• 10: 30 hours: Mass in the parish church of Santa Anna.
• 12: 00 hours: Solemn mass in honor of the Mare de Déu de la Soledat, in the Parish Church of Santa Ana, sung by the Santísima Virgen de la Soledad Chapel Choir with the assistance of the Queens, Courts, Companions, 2023 Festival Commission and Authorities. At the end, there will be the first sound offering with aerial and ground fireworks, with the ringing of the bell dedicated to the Mare de Déu de la Soledat, accompanied by a large fireworks around the historic center. Next, a Wine of Honor will be offered at the exit of the Parish Church, where all the residents of the town of Ondara and Authorities are invited.
• 17: 30 hours: Ball game at the Trinquet, for the benefit of the Mare de Déu de la Soledat Residence.
• 19: 00 hours: Collection of the Queens, Courts, Companions, Commission and Authorities by the UM of Ondara and the Musical Association La Piedad de Oliva.
• 21: 00 hours: Solemn procession in honor of Our Patron Saint, the Mare de Déu de la Soledat, along the usual itinerary, accompanied by the UM de Ondara, the La Piedad de Oliva Musical Association and D'Ondara, Colla de dolçaines i tabals. When the Most Holy image of the Mare de Déu arrives at the Convent, there will be a launch of fireworks from the Moll del Prado. The procession will end inside the chapel with the singing of the Hymn to our Patron Saint and the launching of 21 salutes. Next, the new Festival Committee for next year 2024 will be appointed. We appreciate the collaboration of all the residents who wish to decorate the streets and balconies, as well as give flower petals as a gift to the passing of the Most Holy image of the Mare de Déu.

Tuesday July 11

• 20: 00 hours: Holy Mass of requiem in the chapel of the Parochial Cemetery, in suffrage of all the deceased of Ondara.

Sunday July 16

• 19: 00 hours: At the launch of the 21 salutes, Solemn Transfer Procession of the Mare de Déu de la Soledat to the Ondara Parish Cemetery. Once the image arrives at the Campo Santo, the Holy Requiem Mass will take place, in the outer Chapel, in honor of all the deceased of Ondara who have venerated and made possible the Faith and esteem of our people for their Patroness. In this act, the blessing of a ceramic altarpiece commemorating the image of Soledat will take place. At the end, Solemn Procession of Transfer and return of the image to the Convent, ending all the commemorative acts of the Centennial.
