The Public Prosecutor's Office has provisionally requested a 16-year prison sentence for a man accused of having committed crimes of sexual assault, abuse and injuries in the context of gender violence. According to the Public Prosecutor's Office, the accused allegedly raped, beat and insulted his partner, in a relationship marked by physical, verbal and psychological abuse.
The Public Prosecutor's Office maintains that the episodes of violence began when the couple arrived in Spain from Colombia. Between the months of October and November 2022, the accused allegedly insulted the woman on several occasions and kicked her in the abdomen. The most serious events allegedly occurred on November 27, 2022, when, according to the accusation, the man sexually forced himself on her in the family home, located in a municipality in the Marina Alta region, despite the victim's refusal to have sex.
