Next week the case of a man accused of beating and raping his sentimental partner when the victim asked him for an explanation after discovering that he was married will go to trial. The Public Ministry requests a 13-year prison sentence for the defendant for the crimes of injuries and rape.
The attack took place on December 29, 2018 in Benissa, where both were. There came a woman who claimed to be the wife of the accused. When the victim reproached him for her actions, he grabbed her by the neck, knocked her down and, once on the ground, hit her.
The Prosecutor's Office relates that, afterwards, she told him that she wanted to go home because her hand hurt, but he led her to the room and sexually assaulted her.
