The Pego City Council will allocate 70.711 euros to the companies in the municipality with the intention of alleviating the consequences of Covid. It is a subsidy that comes from the Diputación de Alicante from which SMEs, micro-SMEs, small self-employed entrepreneurs and professionals can benefit. A plan for the economic sector that will be managed through the Department of Economic Promotion AFIC-Creama.

The economic aid will serve to cover general current expenses such as the self-employed fee, consultancy and advice, as well as electricity supply, telephone services, local rental and loan interest. Companies may choose up to a total of 4.000 euros, and must meet a series of requirements: the average monthly billing for the months between July 1, 2021 and June 30, 2022, must be equal to or less than the average billed in 2019. They must be registered with the Social Security and Treasury, be up to date in meeting their tax obligations and with the General Treasury of the Social Security, have no outstanding debts with the town hall and that their tax domicile is located in the municipality of Pego.

This subsidy "is a small relief for the companies and entrepreneurs of the municipality who have suffered so much during the months of the pandemic", indicates the Councilor for Commerce, Economic Promotion, and Creama; Ricardo Sendra.
