The Pego City Council and the municipality's Merchants Association continue in the line of cooperation. They have signed a second collaboration agreement for the promotion of local commerce. This is an aid of 10.000 euros, fully financed by the City Council and which will be used, among other things, for the commercial promotion of the association.
Thus, the consistory and the merchants sign, once again, an agreement of these characteristics. According to the Councilor for Commerce and Economic Promotion, Ricardo Sendra, with this agreement "we continue to comply with a demand from the association, it was a necessity for this entity, which has more than 100 members. We understand that it is positive so that they can have their own economic capacity to be able to decide which are the lines of work to follow and in what they invest this money”.
The Councilor for Commerce and Economic Promotion points out that the 10.000 euros “are proof that the association has and will have the help of the City Council, because in addition to this grant, more financial resources have been and will be allocated to help them. This union, that of merchants, is one of the most important motors of our town”.
Receiving this new subsidy, explains the president of the association, Diana Sendra, "helps us to continue on the path of professionalization, even more so, of the entity. It helps us to improve your image, create a stronger structure. Among other things, it allows us to have an adviser who can carry out tasks such as requesting aid or bureaucratic procedures”.
The economic support "allows us to promote and strengthen the Pego Commerce brand, both for residents and for visitors," concludes Sendra.
