This November, the town of Pedreguer is launching a strong message against gender violence with the slogan “It's over, enough of violence against women”. Under this collective cry, a programme of activities has been organised to raise awareness among the population and promote reflection, the culmination of which will be the demonstration on 25 November, the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women.
Demonstration of November 25th
The most eagerly awaited event will be on Monday 25 November, when at 19:30 pm the citizens of Pedreguer are called to participate in a demonstration that will start from the Glorieta. This call, promoted by the Equality Commission and the educational centres of the municipality, seeks to be a space for action and visibility of the collective commitment to eradicate all forms of gender-based violence.
Activity program
Throughout the month, Pedreguer will offer a series of events aimed at raising awareness about gender violence:
Drama Kiss Me 2.0 with Pepa Cases: On Thursday, November 14 at 19:30 p.m., the Espai Cultural La Pista will host the play Kiss Me 2.0, starring Pepa Cases. This performance, with free admission, invites a deep reflection on relationships, affection and the power dynamics that can lead to invisible violence. It is an opportunity for both young people and adults to question and break with the myths of romantic love.
Illustration, creativity and collage workshop with Tres Voltes Rebel: Aimed at young people, this workshop will take place on Thursday, November 21 at 18:00 p.m. at Cal Comes. Participants will be able to express their experiences, emotions and ideas through visual language from a feminist perspective. The workshop has a limit of 25 places, so it is necessary to register in advance by sending an email to joventut@pedreguer.es.
Presentation of the Micro-stories of the IES Pedreguer: On Friday, November 22, at 19:00 p.m. at the Casa de la Cultura, the micro-stories created by the students of the IES Pedreguer will be presented, with the special participation of Salomé Buigues Ferrer. This activity aims to highlight the creativity of the young people of the municipality to denounce gender inequalities and reflect on sexist violence through writing.
