The Pedreguer City Council has launched two new virtual routes that allow you to discover two of the most emblematic buildings in the town: the church of Santa Cruz and the hermitage of Calvario, popularly known as the chapel of San Blas. Through these interactive experiences, users can explore local cultural heritage from anywhere in the world, as long as they have an internet connection and an electronic device such as a computer, tablet or mobile phone.
The virtual route of the church of the holy cross It offers a complete visit to both the exterior and interior of the building. Users can enjoy a detailed view of the Plaza Mayor, the main façade, the bell tower, as well as delve into the central nave, the side chapels, the transept and the main altar. Additionally, the tour provides a wealth of information about the origins and architectural features of the church, making the experience both educational and immersive.
On the other hand, the virtual tour of the hermitage of Calvary offers the opportunity to visit this religious building located at the end of the Way of the Cross, on Gran Mountain. From this privileged location, visitors can enjoy 360-degree panoramic views, including stunning aerial images captured with a drone, showing the natural beauty surrounding Pedreguer.
Furthermore, for those who wish to physically visit the church or hermitage, these virtual routes provide useful information that will enrich the experience of the on-site visit.
This project has been possible thanks to the collaboration between various professionals. The technical part has been developed by the company VirtualPort360, under the direction of David Alapont, while Pasqual Costa has been in charge of designing the routes and informative content as municipal heritage technician. Likewise, the valuable collaboration of the parish of Santa Cruz de Pedreguer is highlighted, especially that of the parish priest Amadeo Romà.
The councilor for culture of the Pedreguer City Council, Noèlia García López, has stated that "with these new virtual routes, Pedreguer takes another step in the dissemination and enhancement of its rich cultural heritage, offering an innovative tool that brings the history and local culture to all audiences.
