Ondara acquires ownership of the second trinquet

On the occasion of the celebration, this year 2022, of the 150th birthday of the Ondara Municipal Ratchet (which dates back to 1872), the Ondara City Council is promoting a series of works, actions and improvements to this centennial sports facility, which have now with an important fact, and that is that the City Council of Ondara has begun the steps to acquire what is known as the "second minor ratchet", as announced by the Mayor, José Ramiro, and the Councilor for Heritage, Raquel López.

This second pawl confronts the large pawl; It is adjacent to the first trinquet and has access through a municipal plot on Roda street, which will allow the possibility of integrating this plot into the trinquet installation, allowing, for example, the creation of an accessible entrance in the area of ​​the rest, or even facilitating the creation of a new gallery. The City Council of Ondara is interested in connecting this endowment with the rear plot, which is also municipal property, to have greater accessibility for people with reduced mobility, as confirmed by the Mayor during the visit to the second trinquet, the acquisition of which has already It has been agreed between the owner and the council.

It should be mentioned that the set of existing ratchets in Ondara between Sol, Roda and Sant Benet streets, is made up of the main ratchet (the largest, built in 1872) and two smaller ratchets. In 2007, the Ondara City Council already acquired the main pawl along with one of the two minor ones, which was later rehabilitated (2018). Given the good conservation of the second minor trinquet, which is part of a patio on a private plot; that this second minor ratchet allows access through a municipal plot of Roda street, and having the will to recover the entire sports complex for the municipal heritage, the Ondara City Council has considered it necessary to acquire that property, which has been valued technically at 17.800 euros, this being the final value of the private purchase contract with the owner, who has expressed her agreement to segregate and sell 90,75 m² located at the bottom of the plot and that confront the Municipal Ratchet and the municipal plot Calle La Roda No. 17, for an amount of 17.800 euros.
