Alere/Dolia, Wine Tourism and Gastronomy Show, returns this October to Teulada Moraira Auditorium in its thirteenth edition, consolidating its presence as a reference event in the Marina Alta. On this occasion, the festival will focus on the roots, highlighting the products of the garden and the seabed, authentic treasures of the 21st century pantry, offering a culinary experience that invites you to enjoy the purest flavour of Teulada Moraira and its region. The event will be next Saturday October 19, starting at 11:00 in the morning, at the Auditori Teulada Moraira.
The wine tourism and gastronomy exhibition seeks to highlight the preservation of the territory and the landscape through the cultivation of the Muscat of Alexandria grape, a variety that has been the economic and agricultural base of the area for centuries, as well as being the source of a rich cultural tradition that dates back to ancient times. All of this combines the architecture and the landscape of the Teulada Moraira Auditorium, creating a landscape dialogue that evokes the colours and flavours of the Mediterranean.
Nazario Cano, Chef/dolia '24, pays homage to the roots
This XIII edition of Alere/Dolia will be led by the renowned chef Nazario Cano, current gastronomic director of the spaces of the Ritual de Terra Resort & Spa group in Xàbia and Moraira, which already holds the title of Chef/dolia '24. Cano obtained his first Michelin star at El Rodat in Xàbia and achieved great popularity with another star and two Soles Repsol in Odiseo (Murcia). It was in his current space in Moraira where the presentation of this edition was held, together with the protagonists of Alere/Dolia 2024.
The president of the Teulada Moraira Auditori Foundation and mayor of Teulada Moraira, Raul Llobell, and the director of the Auditori Teulada Moraira, Maite Serrat, have entered the chef's kitchen to present the exhibition dedicated to wine tourism and gastronomy. And as a way of fully immersing themselves in the tradition and culture of the area, in essence, its roots, three more protagonists have joined the event. They are: Lola Ivars, housewife, Juanjo Buigues, farmer, and Miguel Noguera, fisherman, who will participate in Alere/Dolia as honorary assistants to Nazario Cano in his appearance at the exhibition on October 19.
"This year we will try to recognise the value chain provided by our farmers, fishermen and housewives, to whom the chefs give a voice with their creations," explained Maite Serrat. The chef pointed out that his presentation will delve into the aforementioned roots, focusing on "sofritos, majadas and cloudy broths," which are the basis of the cuisine of the area and the techniques used in the past "to achieve such delicious cooking."
For his part, Mayor Raúl Llobell wanted to thank those responsible for the Ritual de Terra space for hosting the presentation, and the Exquisit Mediterrani brand of Turisme Comunitat Valenciana for its support of the Alere/Dolia exhibition, as well as the attendees involved in this edition. Finally, he encouraged not only the residents of Teulada Moraira to attend the prestigious event, but also all the residents of Marina Alta.
Activities to delight, relax and savor
The 11th edition of Alere/Dolia will have a new feature: a change in schedules. While previously the experience focused on the evening, this year it will cover the morning and afternoon, starting at 00:XNUMX a.m. with a cooking workshop.
The exhibition will feature a varied programme of activities designed so that visitors can discover, enjoy, relax, taste and have fun in a privileged setting, in what its organisers call a "Beacon of Culture and the Mediterranean".
As is tradition, there will also be a tapas course with the corresponding pairing, the showcooking by Nazario Cano and "his exceptional chefs", a Dolia Kids area, a performance, a tasting of rosé wines, which are "the great forgotten", and in the afternoon there will be a bar service by the Sant Vicent Ferrer 2025 Festivities Committee of Teulada.
