El Museum of Contemporary Art de Pego was inaugurated in 1991 with the works awarded in the “Vila de Pego” Painting Contest (its first edition was in 1976). The museum's funds also consist of donations from associations, artists and art galleries.
The museum is located in the House of Culture and has a total of six rooms in which hyper-realistic, symbolist or abstract works, among other trends, can be admired. Admission is free.
