August 02 from 2021 - 15: 24

The mayor of Calp, Ana Sala, accompanied by other members of the government team, this morning welcomed the personnel hired within the Local Employment Plan, an initiative launched to face the economic and social crisis derived from COVID-19. In total, there are 56 workers hired through this plan, of which 49 will start working today and the rest will do so in the coming days.

The mayor has indicated that "this plan is one more action to try to help the residents of Calp" and has highlighted that the government team is committed to "active employment policies to fight against unemployment caused by the pandemic." The Employment Plan is, in fact, part of the Impulsa Plan, which includes the different measures and financial aid from the Calp City Council to mitigate the economic consequences that the pandemic is causing in the population.

The Local Employment Plan is aimed at people aged 16 years or over, registered in Calp on January 1, 2021, registered in the public employment service with a minimum of 3 to 6 uninterrupted months and who were not receiving benefits or unemployment benefits.

The jobs that will be occupied by the 49 people who start working today will be the following: three administrative, five administrative assistants, eight janitors, eight cleaners, two 1st service officers, 14 laborers and nine forest guards.

The Plan is endowed with 1 million euros from the remaining treasury and will involve the temporary hiring of this staff until December 31.
