A total of 2.064 users have benefited from the new Bono Consumo campaign, held last November and which is now being reviewed by the Pego City Council and local businesses. A positive balance, say both parties, since in this new edition a total of 311.648 euros have been distributed, of which 155.824 have been financed by the Alicante Provincial Council.
Managed by the Department of Economic Promotion and Creama and with the collaboration of the Unió Gremial, this new voucher campaign has included, for the first time, the restaurant sector, "which has expanded the offer for consumers who could spend the 150 euros of the voucher both in local shops and in the bars and restaurants of the municipality," explains the Councillor for Economic Promotion and Creama, Raül Tamarit.
The councillor has emphasised that the involvement of Pego's shopkeepers and restaurateurs "has been fundamental in order to carry out this campaign", Tamarit has also taken the opportunity to thank the technicians from the Creama department "for all the hard work they do, both in organising this initiative and in serving all the residents, shops and restaurateurs". The councillor emphasises that they will continue to support this initiative "which is fundamental for boosting the local economy and is so well received by both shopkeepers and consumers, especially at the time of year, on the threshold of the Christmas campaign".
