On June 9, the population will have an appointment at the polls: the 2024 European Parliament elections. Is there interest in the European Union? Will the inhabitants of the Marina Alta go to vote? Do you already know who you will vote for?

According to those interviewed for this article, there is great interest in participating in the vote and they have been informed prior to the elections of the parties that are running. In this sense, There is already an intention to vote for a specific party in most cases, some being faithful to the one they have voted for all their lives and others changing their vote due to some disappointment.

The latest data obtained in the April Eurobarometer indicate that the number of European citizens has been increasing: from 49% in the last elections in 2019 to 60% in those of 2024. Specifically, in Spain 58% of the population shows enthusiasm for the event, compared to 39% in 2019.

Furthermore, 70% of Spanish citizens (in 2019 it was 56%) affirm that they will probably go to vote on June 9.

However, in a survey carried out by this newspaper about these elections, only 40 people participated, which could contradict the Eurobarometer information and show that readers do not care that much about the ballot boxes in a European sense.

Even so, among the participants, the same pattern holds true as in the Eurobarometer: 79% show interest in the European elections and the majority will go to vote (85%). In addition, 71% have been informed of the parties that are presented. In terms of voting intention, 50% will vote for the right, 38,64% for the left and 11.36% for center parties.

Which parties did Marina Alta vote for in the last European elections?

For this Europe of the People, this autonomous Spain and with the opinion of Citizenship, which possibly all citizens think there are too many politicians, in my modest opinion an important reform should be made. Develop as required the Statutes of Autonomy and the same national policy, also that of Europe, the same work teams in the Ministries as in the councils of Europe and therefore in the European Parliament.

If you are fed up with uncontrolled illegal immigration, corruption and mismanagement of the partitocracy in this country, vote for Alvise Pérez: the scourge of corrupt politicians. Stop Agenda 2030
