The Civil Guard barracks of the region offer the appointment service for any procedure

The Civil Guard of Alicante will offer from next March 1 the appointment service to make complaints in all the Main Posts of the province. On October 15, a pilot test phase of the service began at the Torrevieja Main Post, in addition to other posts at the Madrid and Almería Commands. The results obtained have been considered very positive, both for the citizens and for the community itself.

In addition to its two modern systems already established previously, electronic reporting and prior appointment of the Weapons and Explosives Interventions, on October 15, 2021, the Civil Guard implemented the pilot phase of the prior appointment system for receiving complaints. The three systems are accessible through the official website, with the aim of facilitating citizen service relations.

The pilot phase of the appointment service at the Citizen Service offices was initially implemented at six Comandancia Posts in Madrid, Alicante and Almería. Given the positive assessment that it is having, it has begun to progressively expand in other Posts of these Commands.

Now, four and a half months after it began at the Torrevieja Main Post, the province of Alicante will offer the service at the other Main Posts in the towns of Almoradí, Altea, Aspe, Callosa de Segura, Calpe, Campello, Crevillente, Dolores, Pilar de la Horadada, The Verger, Guardamar, Ibi, Jávea, Novelda, San Juan, San Vicente del Raspeig, Santa Pola, Villajoyosa and Villena.

This prior appointment service allows you to book from the official website a turn of personal attention in the offices of the Civil Guard of the Posts that offer it, either for the presentation of complaints, as well as the performance of any other procedure that can be carried out from
a job.

From the analysis of the results obtained during the pilot phase at the Torrevieja Post, it has been concluded that the objectives initially pursued with its establishment have been met:

  • It avoids delays in waiting to be seen, since the citizen attends the scheduled appointment, which they can select personally based on their own needs.
  • It makes it possible to offer the citizen better care, by placing at their disposal an agent specialized in their specific need for the necessary time.
  • The scheduled appointments in the system allow the Unit to anticipate a greater need for personnel in the face of greater demand, thus providing the appropriate care in each case.

Although the evolution of the health pandemic derived from the effects of the COVID-19 virus is beginning to subside, this system has made it possible to respect hygienic-sanitary practices in recent months, avoiding crowds
unnecessary in dependencies.

The appointment can be requested from the official website of the Civil Guard and also in person or by telephone by going to one of the Posts that offer the service.

This service is not recommended in cases where it is not convenient to postpone a complaint, such as crimes in which violence or intimidation has been used; when there is a perpetrator who can be recognized by the victim or witnesses; the disappearance of people; when the victim of the crime is a minor or disabled; if the crime is being committed or has just been committed; in the case of a burglary or
force on things (breaks or fractures of doors or windows); or in the case of events that require the prompt presence of agents at the scene of the events. The citizen has the possibility, once in person at the offices, to receive advice from a professional on the advisability or not of scheduling a prior appointment or filing the complaint immediately. In these months, the complaints for which more has been resorted to
use the prior appointment are those related to crimes of theft or minor material damage, as well as crimes of another nature, less serious.

Since its implementation last October, it has been given the necessary publicity to make it known to recipients. The use of the system, which is still in the process of adaptation, and which is being improved based on experience, is increasingly normalized among citizens, who are transmitting their satisfaction with the benefits obtained from its use.
