A forest fire broke out yesterday afternoon in the town of Castell de Castells. The Alicante Provincial Firefighters Consortium received the notice at 20:25 p.m., quickly mobilizing the necessary means to control the situation.
Thanks to the intervention of three crews from the fire station of Dénia and two forest fire units, the fire was controlled at 21:34 p.m. and completely extinguished at 21:56 p.m. Fortunately, there were no injuries or significant material damage.
Authorities continue to investigate the exact causes of the fire, but it is suspected that the origin could be related to a thunderstorm due to the weather conditions of the last few hours.
