The strike called by the Marina Salud Company Committee from May 4 to 6 has, as its main trigger, the rejection of the company in charge of managing the Hospital de Dénia (Ribera Group) to update working conditions of their workers.
The break and the various mobilizations, such as tomorrow's demonstration on Marqués de Campo street in Dénia, claim a fair update of these. The current collective agreement of the workforce has been in force since 2014, for which those affected call it "unacceptable", since it does not reflect the current needs of the workers.

For this reason, at the time, what the management of Marina Salud proposed to the company was, among others, a salary increase of 1,5%, while, for the following year, they demanded a 2% increase. All this taking into account, of course, the rise in the CPI in recent months.
The support in recent days and weeks for the movement has been almost absolute, such as that of the Staff Board of the Department of Health of Dénia or that of the various municipalities that will take the problem to their plenary sessions.
The support of all the regional health workers is especially relevant, since the poor working conditions that they suffer in the health department of the region are conducive, as expected, an alarming flight of health professionals. The organization of the strike insists that the terrible conditions mean that "no one wants to work in our region, which has a negative impact on patient care."
