The bus service for students in the region offers young people from the Marina Alta the opportunity to travel directly to their schools. At the end of July, the registration process for exclusive public transport began, which makes it easier to travel to Valencia and Alicante during the school year.

Who organizes student transport?
For years, the Col·lectiu d'estudiants de la Marina Alta has been in charge of managing all the procedures and promoting the student bus service to facilitate travel to the university.
The group has always had the collaboration of the company Autocares Benissa, a discretionary transport company based in the municipality of Benissa.
bus destinations
The initiative promotes two different destinations: the University of Valencia and the University of Alicante. However, as it is a transport organized by a group of people, the availability of the service is based on demand. In other words, there will be a bus as long as a sufficient number of people sign up for the vehicles to be completed.
Currently there is already a full bus to Valencia and the second is being filled. In the direction of Alicante, the number of people requesting transport is smaller, so the viability of the trip will depend on the number of people finally registered.
Address Valencia
It is the most demanded service. For this reason, it is confirmed that the bus will begin its trips to the University of Valencia next Sunday, September 11. However, this is only available during the weekend.
From the beginning of the first quarter, the transport will depart from Valencia on Fridays and will return to the provincial capital on Sundays.
Departures from the Marina Alta
As of the first Sunday, September 11, transport will depart from the following municipalities in the region:
- Benissa
- Teulada-Moraria
- Gata de Gorgos
- Ondara
Stop in Valencia
Upon arrival in Valencia, the vehicle will stop in the following areas:
- Cabanyal
- Manuel Candela
- Blasco Ibáñez (at the height of the Mestalla)
- Benimaclet (Civil Guard post)
- Burjassot
bus price
The Col·lectiu d'estudiants has developed two transport registration options. In this way, each alternative offers a different rate:
- Service complete: this option allows you to reserve a place both for the trip to the University on Sunday and for the return trip to the Marina Alta on Friday, for a price of 260 euros per semester.
- Medium service: the second option contemplates only one of the trips, or the way to Valencia or the return to the region, for a price of 150 euros.
Address Alicante
For the last three years this bus has been more complicated to complete, since there is not as much demand as for the one to Valencia. However, the possibility is always open. So, based on the number of registrants, this transport may or may not be offered.
How to formalize the registration
Registration for the service is not closed at any time, since it is understood that it is a continuous service but that it is divided into four-month periods, just like the university course.
To formalize the registration it will be necessary to call or send a WhatsApp to 641185988. This contact of the Marina Alta university bus is available both to request information and to register definitively.
Once the service has been requested, the group of students adds the interested person to the list and to the conversation group to stay informed about the service at all times.
Other student bus services
In addition to the university transportation, the Col lectiu d'estudiants de la Marina Alta organizes other transportation to the IES La Mar de Xàbia. In this case, places are limited in order of registration and the trip costs 5 euros for each day of class. The transportation itinerary for both the round trip and the return trip is:

- Pedreguer (Residence for the elderly)
- Ondara (End of Alacant avenue)
