“Finishing the restoration of Les Antigues Escoles Velles is an absolute priority for the municipal government of Benissa”. This is how the mayor of Benissa, Arturo Poquet, began his intervention, who has also been satisfied with the work carried out during this time by both the Urban Planning and Contracting departments.
Last week the last signature was sealed that gives way to the launch of a project on the State contracting platform that in its fourth and final phase will cost around 2,5 million euros. Its objective is to unify municipal services, favor synergies in administrative tasks, reduce costs due to economies of scale and make it easier for citizens to deal with the council.
Some of the works provided for in the technical specifications are the completion of vertical enclosures, placement of thermal insulation, installation of false ceilings, placement of railings, interior carpentry and glasswork, electricity, lighting or IT, among others.
The educational center that served to train thousands of boys and girls in the municipality during the middle of the XNUMXth century will from now on be a comprehensive municipal space that will allow, according to Poquet, "to offer a more agile, more efficient and more effective service to the citizens of Benissa”. With the prudence that characterizes the mayor of Benissa, he has estimated the start date of the works for the beginning of next year.
