The cheapest gas stations in the Marina Alta: are these the last days of the discount on fuel?

Last April, the Government decided to apply a discount of 20 cents per liter on fuel to any user as a way of avoiding the economic and social impact of the war in Ukraine. An aid that has been extended as a measure of the anti-crisis plan, which expires on December 31.

Now the great unknown lies in whether the measure will also be extended to 2023 and under what conditions it will be done. For the moment, the Government has not specified this issue, but it has hinted that the initiative could be modified to exclusively benefit the most vulnerable sectors.

This was stated by the First Vice President and Minister of Economy, Nadia Calviño, a few days ago. In her statements, she warned that the aid applied belonged to a first phase whose objective was "to implement shock measures with a generalized impact", but that little by little it would be about apply to “most affected sectors”, naming ranchers, farmers, fishermen and transporters or the groups with the lowest income.

For now, the fuel discount remains in force until the end of the year, accompanied by the drop in prices that has become notable in recent weeks. For this reason, we bring a compilation of the cheapest gas stations in the Marina Alta to take advantage of the last days of the discount in the absence of knowing what the Government's decision will be to open the new year.

Below are the five cheapest stations for both types of common fuel, gasoline and diesel, ordered from highest to lowest price.

Stations with the cheapest diesel

The Verger

Among the cheapest gas stations, the one with the highest price is +B Energías in El Verger, which offers a liter of diesel at $1,627.

Calp

Fourthly, the Calp Gasexpress station has diesel at $1,599 the liter. Like the Autofuel Low Cost.

Benissa

The VCC Benissa is positioned in third place with $1,557 per liter of diesel purchased.

Teulada

Secondly, the Teulada Plenoil station has diesel at $1,537 the liter.

Xàbia

And, first of all, the gas station with the cheapest diesel in the region is located in Xàbia. The Plenoil has a liter of diesel $1,519.

Calp

The Autofuel Low Cost service station in Calp currently offers a liter of gasoline at $1,549 the liter purchased. So does the Gasexpress.

Pego

In Pego, the Low Cost gas station is in fourth place with a liter of gasoline at $1,528.

Benissa

In Benissa it is possible to find gasoline at $1,527 the liter in the Roselló station. It can also be found at this price at VCC Benissa and Plenoil.

Teulada

Teulada houses the second cheapest gasoline station in the region. It is the Plenoil with $1,489 the liter.

Xàbia

In the first place, the Plenoil de Xàbia station is once again offering a liter of gasoline at 1,449, the cheapest in the Marina Alta.
