On May 27, Moraira will become the meeting point for the Moorish and Christian lines of both the Marina Alta and the Marina Baixa with the I Trobada of Philaes organized by the Filà Muladíes and Filà Almorach; Captaincies of the 2023 parties.
An innovative act with which the filaes capitanas honor one of the main purposes of the UNDEF, "to promote relations and brotherhood between the towns that celebrate the Moors and Christians festivities".
The idea was born from the illusion of the two captaincies of this year 2023, together with the support of the Central Board of Moors and Christians of Moraira, for bringing together the festive people of the two regions for the first time in the town.
The festive gathering, which will also be open to the rest of the citizenry from 17:00 p.m. with the afternoon, also includes a wide program of events and activities For the festeros who have previously reserved their assistance:
- 11:00 a.m.: Reception of attendees and delivery of tickets
- 11:30 am: Welcome on Paseo del Senillar in Moraira.
- 12:00 pm: Parade accompanied by brass band.
- 13:00 p.m.: Time for the casalla and the local vermouth enlivened by brass band.
