The Pego i les Valls Tourism Association presents a unique experience for local residents and visitors: seven urban routes designed to immerse themselves in the past and highlight the unique identity of each town. These routes offer a tour of the cultural and architectural heritage, combining historical anecdotes, myths and stories that have endured over time. The five towns that form part of this project are Pego, Vall d'Ebo, Vall d'Alcalà, l'Atzúbia-Forna and Vall de Gallinera.
Last year, signage was installed at stops along each route, offering details about points of interest, as well as QR codes linking to digital resources with more information in multiple languages.
This year, through a guided tour of the most emblematic streets, squares and corners, participants will be able to discover the best kept secrets of these municipalities. From legends of ancient characters who have left their mark on local history to curious events, each route transports visitors to bygone eras while they enjoy the current urban environment.
The routes are designed for all audiences and will take place on Sundays at 11 a.m. to facilitate the participation of residents and tourists. In addition, they will have a specialized guide who will enrich the experience with curious facts and little-known details of each town.
And to round off the day, at the end of each route, food tastings will be offered for just €5 per person. This is a perfect opportunity to taste the typical products of the region and enjoy local cuisine in a welcoming atmosphere.
