AMADEM, an NGO for Mental Health-Marina Alta, is celebrating and does so twice. On the one hand, it is the fourth anniversary of the Cervantes Sheltered Housing and on the other, the home has recently opened new flooring, completely replacing the previous one. The action has been subsidized by the Second Vice Presidency and Department of Social Services, Equality and Housing of the Generalitat Valenciana.
The home, which houses five people, men and women, has undergone a significant transformation, in part thanks to said subsidy. This funding allowed for the complete replacement of the floor, a crucial step for users given the worn state of the previous floor.
The renovation has not only had a physical impact, but has also significantly improved the quality of life of the residents. The new surface has managed to considerably reduce the humidity that previously leaked, thus increasing the comfort and well-being of those who reside in the place.
This achievement is the result of continuous support from various sources, including collaborations, solidarity and generosity from both individuals and organizations committed to the well-being of the community. The NGO wanted to highlight the role of the Board of Directors of AMADEM and the City Council of Dénia, whose support has been essential to advance the mission of improving the quality of life of those who need mental health care in the region.
