Snow makes an appearance in the Marina Alta

January 24 from 2023 - 10: 10

The predictions that had been made since last weekend have come true. Low temperatures, less snow and precipitation, everything required for the snow to reach the Marina Alta during this start of the week.

At the moment, a small snowfall has settled on the top of Carrascar de Parcent. Around 07:00 in the morning there were records of precipitation in Coll de Rates, where the altitude is about 600 m. As reported by MeteoParcent, the snowfall will be visible in the next few hours at points between 500 and 600 meters above sea level, while a completely white landscape can be achieved from 700 m.

Other towns such as the Vall de Laguar have also seen snow in their municipal area, in this case in the Cavall Verd de la Serra del Penyó.

But the images of snowfall in the regional mountains multiply. From Xaló, the Serra de Bèrnia looks more white than green. With its 1.129 m above sea level at its highest point, the mountain is postcard-worthy.

From Murla, a peaceful sunset was complemented at the end of the day with a clearly winter landscape. In the distance, between Coll de Rates and Banigembla one could still see the curdled snow in the Parcent mountains.
