Last Saturday, more than 60 people attended the presentation of the lithography by Joan Castejón in homage to the Muntanya Llarga de Llíber, an event that was attended by renowned artists such as Joan Llaveria and Neus Calabuig.
The presentation highlighted the strong symbolic load of the work of art, which represents the natural space of Muntanya Llarga cracked and wounded by the works of the macro-PAI, as well as the longing of the population of the Valley of Pop: «Muntanya Llarga, dressed in nature; stripped of cement.
In gratitude for Joan Castejón's commitment to the fight against the PAI and his great gesture of solidarity with Salvem la Vall, the Platform has named him as the first honorary member, in anticipation of the membership campaign that will begin soon.
The funds obtained from the sale of the lithograph – of which 78 copies have been sold so far – will go towards the legal expenses of Salvem la Vall; and they are "more necessary than ever at a critical moment in our fight in defense of the Muntanya Llarga", according to the representation of the Platform.
This event is part of the agenda of Salvem la Vall activities for the summer, which includes the presentation of Castejón's lithography in Dénia, on Thursday, July 4 at 20:00 p.m.; the information point at the Tiki Party in Jesús Pobre, on Saturday, July 6; and the information event and the start of the membership campaign, with a date and place to be confirmed soon.
